What is a health coach?
Wow! First blog post!
When starting to think about my first post it was a little daunting, kind of like someone considering to make a lifestyle change to better their health.

- What is the easiest way to achieve the best result?

- What is my ultimate goal?
Then I stepped back and realized, “Keep it Simple!” Sometimes the most effective actions and methods are achieved by a simple easy approach. Which leads me to the topic of my first post.
What is a health coach?
Although, Health Coaches are becoming more prominent, I believe there are still people who are not exactly sure what we do, and utilizing our services can dramatically make a difference in your specific or overall health concerns.
First, let me begin by saying that not all health coaches are the same, just like not all physicians, dentists, therapists, etc. are the same. Each health coach is different and our practices reflect who we are as a person. We all share common ground in that we want to help you better your health, but our philosophy, programs, and approaches are vast and unique. So, the information I am including is solely a reflection of my own practice.
My health coaching is grounded in the science of lifestyle, functional health, and physical movement. As a health coach, I am trained to be proactive when it comes to your health. This means that I want to help you reach your optimal health and teach you how to maintain it with a simple easy approach. My goal is for you to experience fewer doctor’s visits and rid yourself of expensive prescriptions that are loaded with dreadful side effects.
My approach and methods are based on the latest scientific research. I join a host of modern practitioners whose core philosophy centers around a holistic, personalized approach to health and healing. I believe that food is a powerful “medicine” that can nourish our body and boost our immune system. By making SMART choices in the food you eat, you can actually heal your body. Even more healing can be achieved by reviving quality sleep patterns, reducing stress, balancing hormones, and getting adequate exercise. My approach allows you to effortlessly maintain your health because my methods are simple, practical, and easy to incorporate in your daily life.
Is a health coach the best choice for everyone?
The answer to that question is, no. If you are seeking a magic pill to make your health problems go away, then you need to look elsewhere. If you are satisfied with daily surviving… you are unmotivated, unwilling to change… not interested in prioritizing better health, then do not waste your time or money on a health coach. If you are ready to feel your best, ready to better your health, ready to make a commitment… ready to finally LIVE life, ENJOY each day and THRIVE... then a health coach is an excellent choice for you!
